Off to the beach!

Well, we're rolling outta here for a couple of days on the Oregon coast - Lincoln City to be precise. For those of you on the other side or in the middle of the country who haven't been there, it's gorgeous and makes me feel small and wonderful to be there.
From here we head south west and pretty much stay that way till we get to Lincoln City. The hotel we stay in is about 100' up from the beach and we stay in the same place every time. Gosh such habitaul creatures, I know, but we've stayed at 3 or 4 different places and I have a problem because they aren't clean enough for me. This place doesn't allow little kids and we enjoy the quietness of that. The other place we stayed in, we had kids playing Volcano all night long over our heads (that byegone game of yesteryear where the floor is hot and you have to jump on the beds and all the furniture in the room in order to stay out of the hot lava on the floor). We also have our own kitchen and do our own cooking. I think I talked here once about Chris's dad giving us heck for cooking on vacation - saying its not a vacation if you don't eat out and let someone else do the dishes and cleanup. Well they went down to the casino and ate, and he got food poisoning, was in bed an entire day from it. I didn't tell him I TOLD YOU SO!!! but I really wanted to. Besides I'm so picky about what I eat I don't trust any kitchen but my own. I know my hands and utensils are clean and the food is fresh and prepared right and cooked thoroughly and NOT picked up off the floor and tossed back in the pan, or some just-about-rotten stuff that's masked in gravy or those ever inventive "spices". NO thankyou!!!
So - we'll be home late Friday, then we're taking Fay over to my brothers house near Puyallup Washington for my great-nephew's 3rd birthday party. Haven't been to my brother's in about 9 years, I really detest his wife, but being the bitches that we are, we can get along for one day long enough to give the kid a few presents and let them see their great neice, Fay was only about 8 months old last time they saw her and she's 2 now. Brother is going in to have his sinuses roto-rootered to get rid of an infection that the antibiotices won't touch. Wouldn't have anything to do with 30 years of dehydration and smoking dope now would it?? No way, what do I know that an expert medical team and a $10,000 surgery don't??? Better him than me, I suppose.
Otherwise, hopefully you can all get by without me for a few days, I'll have pictures to put on here when we get back, and if we see any whales I'll get a video. One time I watched a group of Killer Whales chasing sealions. Never seen anything swim as fast as those sealions were going, wow. Talk about Fast Food!!! BYE!! and behave!!
